Centre For Business Excellence (CBE) was established in 1989 for the purpose of helping SME's to improve their sustainable business performance.

We recognise two undeniable truths:

 1.                     That an "outsider" can see opportunities and issues within a business that are frequently overlooked and "invisible" to owners, directors and managers who simply are too close to separate the wood from the trees.

 2.                     That the work of managers typically involves:

c.                 Projects.

Invariably it is the projects that get left to last, frequently started but rarely finished.  However, it is projects that make most difference to a SME. 

An effectively managed project has the following characteristics:
