Being a Regulation 7 – Family Consultant is a challenging and rewarding role. In this role my focus is providing an independent professional perspective on the needs of children. Ensuring the best interests of the children during the complex and involved process of family law proceedings is paramount. Whether privately or appointed by the court, I assess the individual circumstances of the family with compassion, respect and professionalism. My family reports are designed to support parents to adopt a child-focused approach to decision making, encourage positive co-parenting relationships and move the family forward towards resolutions.
